The 02 had some major work done today.
Massive thanks to Dominic and Calumn (sp?) over at DC Autofit in Ballycoolin.
The propshaft to gearbox rubber coupling (Guibo) was replaced for a new one. Mine was pretty shot and if it had failed it could have damaged the flange on the gearbox. Needless to say I'm a lot more confident driving her now.
There was also a leak coming from the rear of the gearbox so a new rear seal was put in there. Tough job to get the flange nut and flange off the main shaft but many hands mke light work and all that....
Aside from that she got a good service with all new fluids and filters, spark plugs and fan belt.
All in all it was a long enough days work and the lads played a stormer, fair play to them :D
Running great now so I'm well happy. Gonna try and work out what mpg I'm getting at the moment over the next while. Fingers crossed it's not too low!?!
If anyone is looking for a mechanic in Dublin give Domonic a shout at 087 2656434.
